Doorbells For Hard Of Hearing
Doorbells for hard of hearing are a great way to help those who suffer
from hearing loss. These doorbells work differently than standard doorbells in that they do not require sound
and instead flash a light that is easily detected by those in the home. This alerts those who are hard of
hearing or live or work in noisy environments to let them know someone is at the
door.
There are a number of options you can get. Either get a full wired or
wireless doorbell with this strobe light capacity or get a transmitter with this function. The transmitters
come in plug-in and battery varieties. These are great additions that can be added to above doors so that
their flashing can be seen by all those in the room.
Also, the price range of the complete system models spans roughly $40
to $140, but most models fall into the $50 to $90 range. A number of the popular manufacturers includes
Sonic, Jacob Jensen, and Nutone. For the transmitters only, you can reasonable expect to spend anywhere from
$30 to $50, depending on the particular model chosen.
In all other capacities, the full system or transmitters work like
their noise counterparts. Also, a number of the systems still include chimes giving you the option to turn
them off if you so choose.
If you or anyone you know suffers from hearing loss, be sure to
consider the purchase of these doorbells for hard of hearing.
