The Musical Doorbell is doorbell chime system for wired doorbells that has captured the public’s attention. It provides the homeowner with the ability to play a wide variety of songs and sounds with over 100 built-in songs, animal sounds, and voices included. The songs cover a number of areas including traditional songs, holiday music, nursery rhymes, and others. To get a sample of the music, the website has a ton of samples in both chime and bell format which allow you to get a feel for what is available. This is great for hearing the basics in doorbell sound and a whole lot more.  

In addition, you can program your own songs which allows you to add your song favorites.  All of this is priced for $49.99. 

Reviews of the product have been predominantly more than favorable.  Customers like hearing the different songs, but especially like the holiday and celebration music as it spices up certain events and creates a fun conversation piece for family, friends and visitors. 

One knock appears to be that the recording of songs is not as great as some customers would hope.  However, even with this slight limitation, the customer overwhelmingly endorse the product.  Much praise was given the staff for their customer service and friendliness when it was used by customers.  An additional knock would be that they do not currently have a version for wireless doorbell systems.  Regardless, at its very reasonable price, you are able to upgrade a very ordinary doorbell system’s sound into something fun and interesting.  This is enough by itself for most to give it a try. 

For customers, who may be looking for more programming options.  You will be glad to know the same company has recently created a new product called ichime.  This product takes off where the musical doorbell has left off by addressing a few of its concerns.    

It allows you to download music from your computer, ipod and mp3 player and appears to have a little better quality sound.  One of the other things that seemed to be a hit with customers was its easy installation which only takes the disconnecting of two wire and connecting them to the ichime. 

Naturally, for all these benefits you will pay a little more as it is being sold for $89.99.  However, depending on your music needs, this may be just the bargain you are looking for.
